Community rules
Last updated: 1 November 2026
Vice Mate is a place to talk about GTA VI with people who love it. These rules keep it friendly. They apply to posts, comments, profiles, video links and reports.
Be kind
Disagree with ideas, not people. No harassment, bullying, threats, hate or slurs aimed at anyone's race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or any other part of who they are. Don't encourage anyone to harm themselves or others.
Respect spoilers
Pick the right spoiler level for every post. Don't put spoilers in titles, and don't post them in comments on posts with a lower level. If you aren't sure, choose the higher level.
Keep it safe and legal
- No leaks of stolen or confidential material, and no piracy, cracks or links to them.
- No scams, phishing, giveaways that ask for passwords, or selling or trading accounts, money or in-game items.
- No cheats or tools that spoil online play for others.
- No sexual content, graphic violence or gore. Talking about the game's story and rating is fine.
- Nothing that sexualises or endangers children, ever. We report this to the authorities.
Respect privacy
Don't share anyone's private information, such as their real name, address, phone number, photos or accounts elsewhere, without their permission. Don't pretend to be someone else, including Rockstar staff, creators or Vice Mate moderators.
Keep it real
No spam, repeated posts or misleading links. Sharing your own videos is welcome when it adds to the conversation. Only post content you have the right to share.
Photos and images
Your profile photo must follow these rules: no nudity or sexual content, no violence, gore or hate symbols, no photos of other people without their permission, and no art or logos you don't have the right to use.
Images must follow the same rules as everything else: no nudity or sexual content, no violence or gore, no hate symbols, no personal information (including other people's faces without their permission, and screenshots of private messages), no leaked or unreleased GTA VI material, and only images you took or have the right to share. Mark spoilers.
If something's wrong
Use Report on a post, comment, image, profile photo or profile (including "Under the minimum age" if you think a member is too young to be here), and use Block to stop seeing someone. Reports are confidential. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services (000 in Australia) first.
What happens if rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, moderators may remove content, restrict an account from posting, suspend it (for a set time or until further notice), or lock it if it appears to be under the minimum age. We tell you what happened and why, and you can appeal from the notice.
