Terms of use
Last updated: 15 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Vice Mate when you use the app. Please read them with the Community rules and the Privacy notice, which form part of them.
Who we are
Vice Mate (vicemate.app) is a free, independent community for Grand Theft Auto VI fans, run by Mohammed Al Nasseri in Queensland, Australia. Vice Mate is not affiliated with or endorsed by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Game names and trade marks belong to their owners.
Who can join
Vice Mate's own minimum age is 16 if you live in Australia and 13 anywhere else. Some countries set a higher age for using online services or for consenting to the use of personal data, so we apply a higher minimum for the countries on our list. That list has not been checked by a lawyer and may be incomplete or wrong, so you remain responsible for meeting any age requirement where you live. We don't collect a parent or guardian's permission, so we don't allow members below the minimum age for their country. Your sign-in account exists before we ask for your date of birth and country. If your answer shows you are below the minimum age, your account is locked, made private and hidden from other members, but it is not deleted. A locked account is kept until a staff member reviews it by hand. You can ask for a review, contact Support, sign out, or delete your account yourself. If a moderator locks an account after a report that the member is under the minimum age, we tell the member the reason and case reference, and they can appeal. By signing up you confirm that the details you give us are true. Members under 18 start with a private account and should read the Community rules and Privacy notice with a parent or guardian where they can.
One person, one account. Don't create an account for someone else, sell or share your account, or create a new account to get around a suspension.
Your account
You sign in with email, or with a provider such as Google. Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us through Support if you think someone else has used it.
Your handle is permanent once chosen. You can change your display name, bio, avatar, spoiler level, theme and privacy at any time in Settings.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent; see the Privacy notice for what is removed and what is kept.
What you post
You keep ownership of the posts and comments you write. So that we can run the app, you give Vice Mate a free, worldwide licence to store, display and share your content within the app and through shared post links, for as long as it stays on Vice Mate. The licence ends when you or we delete the content, except for copies kept for the reasons in the Privacy notice.
Public posts can be read by anyone with the link, including people without an account. If your account is private, only you, your approved followers and our moderators can see your posts.
Only post what you have the right to share. When you add a YouTube video, the video stays on YouTube and YouTube's own terms apply to it.
Mark spoilers honestly with the right spoiler level.
Rules and moderation
You must follow the Community rules. Our moderators may remove or hide content, and restrict, suspend or lock an account that breaks these terms or the rules, or that puts other people at risk. We try to tell you when we act on your account, unless safety or the law stops us.
If you think we got a decision wrong, contact us through Support or at vicemate2026@gmail.com and we will review it. If your account is locked, you can ask for a review from the lock screen or email us.
You can report posts, comments and members, and block anyone. Reports are confidential; the member you report is not told who reported them.
Things you must not do
- break the law, or help anyone else do so;
- try to access other people's accounts, or parts of the app you are not allowed to use;
- scrape, copy in bulk, or overload the app, or get around rate limits, blocks or bans;
- probe or attack the app's security, except through a responsible report to us through Support;
- use Vice Mate to advertise, sell or spam without our permission.
Copyright and takedowns
If you believe something on Vice Mate infringes your copyright or other rights, email vicemate2026@gmail.com with a link to the content, what rights you hold and your contact details. Members can also use Report in the app. We review reports promptly and may remove content while we do. If we remove your content, you can appeal from the notice.
The service
Vice Mate is free and is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we may change, pause or stop features, or the whole service. We will give reasonable notice before closing Vice Mate where we can, so that you can save anything you want to keep.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded. To the extent the law allows, Vice Mate is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for content posted by other members or on sites we link to.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Vice Mate after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.
You can stop using Vice Mate at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia. If you live outside Australia, this does not take away any consumer rights that the law where you live says cannot be waived.
