How to check a GTA VI claim
Four quick checks before you believe or share a date, feature or leak.
Most GTA VI rumours fall apart after a minute of checking. These four steps work for dates, platforms, prices and features.
1. Find it on rockstargames.com
Rockstar Games announces GTA VI news on its own site and on Rockstar Newswire. If the claim isn't there, treat it as unconfirmed, however many accounts repeat it.
2. Open the original, not a screenshot
Screenshots of posts and articles are easy to fake or take out of context. Follow the link back to the original page and read the date on it.
3. Separate what was shown from what people think it means
A trailer shot is a fact. What it means for missions, map size or features is a theory until Rockstar says so. Theories are welcome in the community feed, labelled as theories.
4. Never pay or sign in for early access
Offers of early copies, beta keys or leaked builds are scams or break Vice Mate's rules. Report them.
On Vice Mate, the Game Hub publishes only what an official source states, with the link and the date we checked it. A popular post is not evidence.
